COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN LUBRICATING ADDITIVES FOR DRILLING INTRODUCED TO CLAY AND BIOPOLYMER DRILLING MUDS

 

1. DRILLING MUD COMPOSITIONS

 

1.1.    Clay drilling mud:

1       fresh industrial water;

2       soda ash – 0,3%;

3       Kuganak gel powder – up to r = 1,15 g/cm3;

4       condensed sulphite liquor - 3%.

 

1.2.    Mineralized starch-biopolymer drilling mud (MSBPDM):

5       fresh industrial water;

6       calcium chloride up to r = 1,15 g/cm3;

7       starch reagent – 3,0%;

8       xanthan gum – 0,1%;

9       carbonate weighting agent – 3%.

 

 

2.    LABORATORY ANALYSIS CONDITIONS

 

2.1.    Exposition – 3 minutes;

2.2.    Rotation speed – 3000 rpm;

2.3.    Quantity of lubricant added – 0.5% over volume of drilling mud.
